Coulter and Reid are crowned Champions as Urry shines for Juniors

Some fantastic swims from our Junior swimmers with Keira Williams, Scarlett Urry, Frank Allen, Austin Williams, Callum Slagter, Ben Cardwell, Gene Smyth, Ben Riddell, Farrah Allen, Naeve Pountney, Alexander McMullan and Charlie Eatwell all clocking great times.

Amelia Urry stole the show qualifying for 2 of the evening finals (200m Breast & 50m Freestyle) the 15 year old would later be crowned Junior Champion in the 50m Free.

Emma Henderson wearing the Bangor colours for the first time at this event since her switch from Leander would waste no time in making her mark as she touched in 3rd to win Bangor’s first medal of the meet. Emma Reid was up next in an event she has made her own and there was to be no changing of the guard as she touched first in 1:02.93 to be crowned this years 100m Butterfly champion.

Ryan Lewis was next up on the podium for Bangor as he took a second and a half off his prelim time winning Bronze in the 100m Butterfly.

The prelims couldn’t separate David Thompson and Curtis Coulter with both swimmers touching in 24.01, it would however be Coulter who would take Gold for Bangor with less that 0.3 separating him from Silver Medalist David.

Samuel Wright finished up the finals action registering a PB in the 1500m Freestyle.
