Welcome to Bangor Swimming Club
Founded in 1919, Bangor SC is one of Northern Ireland’s premier competitive swimming clubs. March 2013 saw the dawn of an exciting new era for the club as we moved to a new home in the Bangor Aurora Centre, Northern Ireland’s first full size competition size 50m pool.
Swimmers from Bangor SC have competed at all levels from Irish National level to the Olympic Games. Within our current squads we have Commonwelath Games and International swimmers, National and Ulster Age/Youth winners and finalists.
We were the first swimming club in Northern Ireland to be awarded the Clubmark SI quality award and we continue to strive to provide a safe, positive and competitive environment for our swimmers. Our vision is:-
“To produce a stimulating and challenging environment for all levels of competitive swimmers to enable each to reach their competitive potential”
